What is so off the chain about London living?

My students know so, however, I will let myself mention once again where my fluency in English and linguistic confidence come from. Namely, as a student I have spent some time in the UK – nope, not as an Erasmus but as a result of an academic transfer, which means I am in possession of a British Diploma. Having lived and studied in London, I truly fell in love with the city and on this account I would like to tell you what is so off the chain about it and why I would give my all to be back to England.

The city is the heart of the world. The amount of people of various nationalities and cultures got past on streets each day might be considered a daily trip around the world. If you stopped by for a little while with each of them, you would probably reach countries as far as these where Urdu, Panjabi or Filipino are spoken not even leaving the UK. Great Britain gives you an amazing opportunity of having the world at your feet. Life there is a constant study and self-development. There is nowhere else to learn more about the globe but there!

Thanks to the aforementioned multiplicity of inhabitants of diverse cultures, Londoners have already got used to hearing a conversation in another language or seeing somebody of a different skin complexion, which still causes dismay on the streets in Poland. Residing in the UK one can make oneself at home. In London you are always greeted with a smile and a friendly “How are you?”. As a famous bear, Paddington, said: “In London everyone is different, and that means anyone can fit in”. Have you ever felt people were staring at you while you were walking by? Go there, where I used to go to the shop in a turban having washed my hair and nobody cared!

London is a great place to get lost for hours and admire the beauty of townhouses, stunning facades of heritage buildings, cathedrals, museums, palaces, as well as little nooks and crannies of the city. When organising a trip to London for my customers, usually my sightseeing tour agenda includes over a dozen miles walks with no use of public transport, unless necessary.  Is not it a pleasure to walk past Elisabeth Tower, Buckingham Palace or China Town, instead of taking the tube? I am sure you would agree with me on seeing them!
